In 2022, Solotel Group approached us to work on a restaurant for their multi-level hospitality offering, Barangaroo House. They wanted a concept that would anchor the entire three-level building.
Placed between the casual ground floor House Bar and rooftop bar Smoke, the new offering needed to be unlike anything Sydney had seen before to draw a fresh crowd, complement the existing venues and make the whole building a destinational drawcard for the Barangaroo precinct.
And so, Rekōdo was born – an immersive restaurant and vinyl bar inspired by Japanese listening rooms that blurred the lines between dining, drinking and music.
